That is why we are called omnivores because our digestive system can handle both kinds of diet.

While as I mentioned human has been consuming meat especially red meat since ancient times and it is one of the reasons why human ancestors were successful hunter during this evolutionary process of human history.
Since the beginning, we have consumed animal meats of various kinds like mammoths, aurochs, bison, etc, and it is one of the reasons why the body becomes efficient in processing meat and extracts vital nutrients from animal flesh.
As red meat is high in calories it would allow our ancestors to spend less time finding food and consume the majority of the calories from this single source which is meat.

Talk about the benefits: Red meats are loaded with protein which means one can easily meet the daily requirement of protein, remember not only do bodybuilders or fitness guys need protein, proteins are one of the basic and essential nutrients a body needs on daily basis to perform its function.
Protein is composed of amino acids which are necessary for various functions like tissue repairs, and enzyme production and various organs also need protein to perform their respective functions.
Apart from this protein plays a key role in bone health, hair health, and weight loss as it decreases appetite.
Red meat is an excellent source of Vitamins and minerals like riboflavin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 Zinc, etc, and when it comes to Vitamin B12, which can be a bit difficult to come by if you are on a vegetarian diet.
The deficiency of vitamin B12 can cause several issues like anemia, decrease muscle strength, and you will feel fatigued or tired.
Risks of Eating Red Meat:
The downside of eating too much red meat as it can increase your cholesterol levels as red meats are high in cholesterol HDL and saturated fat and overconsumption can lead to potential heart diseases.
There are studies that have shown a link between a high red meat diet and the potential risk of heart diseases and cancer. Even though the majority of the studies are not very conclusive and require further in-depth research.
It is better to consume red meat in moderation while adding vegetables and fruits as well to have a well-balanced diet because everything in access does have side effects even if the studies are conclusive or not.
If you can incorporate exercise or even a simple 30 mins walking or jogging you can reduce the chances of potential risks associated with red meat consumption.
